BA Hatch Vibrating/Wobbling Windows

Hey guys

Not quite sure if this is the right spot, but got a quick question about my car.
its a BA 1.8 hatch 97.

When i drive with the window (driver side) down all the way and turn the corner, the window starts to make a vibrating/wobbling sound. If i have it slightly up and hold the glass the vibration stops. When the window is all up its pretty normal, and i havent yet checked the other windows. All the windows seem to be pretty loose though, have a lot of give if you push them forwards and back.

Any ideas what could be causing this noise ?

My friend has a liberty 95 model and his pillar-less windows seem to be much stiffer than mine and don't make any noise..... But yeah its strange how they do that when there all the way down..... is there anyway to tighten them ??? or something ?

Cro_Crx. I have the same problem and when I took the innards of the door off found that the bolt that holds the window to the track was loose...... that would be the first place I would check. Tighten this sucker and then you will be fine.

Mine is threaded and have not found (not looking very hard) a replacement yet.

The problem had gone away, or at least i thought it had. But yesterday i noticed it was doing the same thing. It sort of sounds like theres something stuck in the door knocking against it. It's making like a chipping sort of noise. Just by looking at the window i cant see any scratch marks or anything. I'm getting my car serviced soon so i will ask my mechanic, don't know weather its worth pulling the whole door apart just yet!

its not so hard to do and yes it is worth pulling apart. u might find its as simple as replacing some foam which is supossed to be there as a spacer. It'll take u 20 mins to remove it if it's the first time.

I found a loose bolt in primo's window but unless the window is fully in place then adjusting things won't solve squat.
Your car is ten years old, it is character.

you'll probably find it's not a problem that just goes away ... more often you just get used to it until you start hearing it again out of the blue ... best to just fix it and be done with
