i'm wondering why you were looking at parts for a jazz. *questions tony's sexuality* lol

i have an exam in an hour and i'm freaking out.

it would be a cheap way of doing it yes, but why when the panel CAI combo has better results?

yes we dont have this law in QLD i did not know this till marc pointed it out to me few weeks back
but i think that if you have the setup like marcs (where the pod is outside the engine bay) it does not need to be enclosed (but u can really easily check this on the vic rd website ay, i just cbf)

Yeah me too.
My CAI seems to work pretty well as it is.
I cleaned the K&N filter last week and stuffed around with the exhaust silencer and I think I've found all the missing power.

Reason I dont like these stye "CAI" is because you have an open duct sitting in the bumper and the pod in the engine bay, you are going to have to crack it open every month or so to clean the crap from the duct... and also your still going to get the same heat soak if you were to stick a pod on the end of the MAF...

Sorry, but thats just my take on those ghetto intakes... If you are going to do it the best way (like Phil's), do it right...
