It's part of the 'Type B' audio equipment in BG Astina SP models. Pretty rare option from what I've read. I'm stoked to have it.

I'd put in a modern Radio/Cd player just to have that equalizer underneath

The lower half plugs directly into the main upper part. You might be able to get it to work if you were a dab hand with electronics. I've got a 10" sub wired into main harness so I could have phat bass without having to ditch the cool 80s headunit.

I sussed out my local wreckers to get the correct CD unit to mate to the head unit but that graphic EQ is making me think of road tripping in a 50k radius to about 12 wreckers now !

Ah the joys of owning old cars eh ?

Talking

Looking quite factory equipped now !

As an afterthought here's a pic regarding how to release the Radio, remove the outer edge molds & with a very small phillips driver in the circular holes push outwards to unclip the stock head unit mount tabs.

You can make an easy tool out of an old wire coat hanger.
1. Cut the coat hanger about 100mm from each side (Makes two tools).
2. Squeeze together to fit the holes
3. Push into the holes
4. Pull out head unit
