I noticed you have 94-96 mirrors, did you swap them?

Thanks mate. With the Mazdaspeed rear wing the car is a liitle bit controvensial, almost nobody knows that it was the genuine factory equipment. It gets your attention at least, love it or hate it

The cup holders are standard equipment after a facelift. I only put the anti skid rubber mat on them .

I would like to show my custom made cold air intake set:

We didn't get cup holders in any of our models in Australia.

And in reference to the mirrors. The mirrors on your car were fitted to 94-96 models in Australia, then a newer shape was used that was then borrowed for the BJs. Which is why you got the question about them, as you have a 98.

But then again you had unpainted door handles also. So it probably just is a market/region thing. We only had unpainted door handles for the first 9 months of models.

I didn't know that, but you can use the aftermarket cup holder like this for example:

I noticed that when I was viewing Austarilan Astina's car parts for sell anouncements, they were plenty of the mirrors borrowed from BJ's. I personally think that BJ's mirror covers shape looks worse than post ford mirror covers.

I didn't know that too, in my opinion painted door handles looks much better than black unpainted.

I know that the car needs more power. I think that 1.5 Z5 enigne is not suitable for turbo (pistons are too weak, they could simply melt). There is a possibility to swap the engine to 1.8 or 2.0 V6, but I can not do it myself, I would need to pay for it which generate costs. On the other hand I drive usually in the city where is a speed limit. The car goes under 10 seconds 0-60 mph/h, so it's quite acceptable.

you have pre-ford mirrors, not post ford... if you got your car 2nd hand, previous owner may have swapped them

I have never seen a 98 with pre-ford mirrors from the factory

Not completely sure but it hink the post ford mirrors only came as electric. Since this car has manual mirrors it still has the old shape.

hey you know what? You're right... I just checked the parts catalogue... the 98 did come with this style mirror, but ONLY if it was manual (not electric) mirrors... they're carried over from the pre-fords

arguments about which looks better or not aside, the post ford mirrors can benefit from aspheric mirror glass upgrade from the EDM BJs, which is a great safety enhancement since that eliminates practically all blindspots (at perpendicular positions)... not that the convex (EDM, JDM, and some other countries, but not AUDM) doesn't do enough to begin with

Santa Claus from Japan visited me and brought few JDM lumbers It is a pity that Mazdaspeed exhaust will be put to 1.5 Z5 instead of 2.0 V6
