323f BG Astina with 4age engine

Hello folks,
am new on this forum.... and would like to buy an astina and swap a 4age engine in it.... am from Mauritius and all astina are 1.6l carburater...
I dont know if someone here has already done this, but can u advise me....
also if its possible to do this swap, what about suspension upgrade and braking

You won't find any info on it - there's no reason to do it when most of us have easy access to the BP 1.8.

Do you have MX-5s?

no i have a 1.6l carburator mazda astina 323f bg .... thanks for the reply. i think am gonna search for a mazda dohc engine/ mx-3 engine... dont know yet

No, I meant does your country also have MX-5s? As you can use the engine out of the MX-5 (with a few small changes)

mx-5 are very rare here...and then if i have to swap a new engine the displacement should be the same... i.e 1.6l swap with another engine which is 1.6l according to new laws...

You could get a B6 DOHC from an MX3 and swap the cam shafts with very little effort. If it's legal in your country you could run this on motorbike carburetors as well.
