Alternator help

Hi all new to the forum, I have a 1991 ford laser kf 1.8, basically a Mazda bg. My alternator has been acting up and I need to replace it. What is the best way to do it? I've got the bolts out and the alternator is free but I cannot get it out of the engine bay. Thanks

I managed to get it out and change it. If anyone else is having trouble the easiest way to do it is to drag it to the other side of the engine bay where the battery is and remove the fuel filter, fuel lines, charcoal canister and speedo cable, comes out fairly easy after that. Then just put the new one back through the same way.
