FS : [NSW] : KL-ZE Motor 203 HP $1000
Hi boys and girls. Opening a new bussines, so, unfortuantly, have to give up this project. Not happy, but that's the deal.
Cost me $1600, it's a KL-ZE out of the 626 JDM (Jap delivered, not local) This one has a much higher compression ratio then the local ones. Perfect for KF to KL swap. easiest 200 Hp you'll ever get. Motor comes with receipt and has done 40,000 k's. I'm willing to take $1000 flat. Need a fast sale so contact me either via PM or at : natank@optusnet.com.au or: 0423 026771 Names Nate. That's the same 2.5L V6 that Mr. Obsessed has in his V6 hatch hey?
Will it match a stock mx6/626 gearbox? AND my final... yet most important question... will it all fit in a 1.8 hatch? I'm interested... but not if i have to buy a V6 hatch to put it in... I'm gonna talk to a mechanic and i'll get back to you! |

It's been discussed before, the verdict is usually it is easier to buy a 2.0 and convert than to change everything, engine mounts etc.. from the 1.8
Cinncinatus: How much would it cost to get it to Adelaide? |

Flip, i think you'll find that the 1.8 option has always been turbo, sorry, but way too much work otherwise.
Savvy, mate of mine works with a courier company and gets great rates, i'll ship it free to Adelaide if you are serious. |

This might widen the net a little bit. The KL-ZE has been successfully transplanted into various BJ model 323's in America. There are dozens of threads about this conversion on MSProtege.com if anyone is interested in doing more research. The SP20 shares a number of components with the 626 so it is possible. However, possibilities are generally never simple or inexpensive.
It would make a great project for someone with dedication. Cheers. |

This is that one time that i kick myself in the ass for not spending the extra on the v6 when i bought the astina.
God damn it At that price would it be worth the grief to even attempt a 1.8 to 2.5 conv? Last edited by outbakoz; 16-04-2007 at 11:08 PM. |
