Thumbs up G'day

Just joined - of course...hence the post

Just bought a '96 V6. 1st on the agenda is lots of reading to...

(A) Establish exactly which version car I have

(B) Needs new rubber, so figure a decent tyre - size etc

(C) Familiarise myself with the mechanics

(D) Find out what others have done to theirs

Not the sharpest tool in the shed, so I apologise now if I ask something that seems obvious to you

Welcome to AGT

Ask away! The search function up the top is also quite useful - you'll more than likely find that your question has been asked before, too.

If you have a look at the VIN plate under the bonnet on the firewall, it'll tell you if you have a BA11F1, 2 or 3 = Series 1, 2 or 3 of the BA.

Hmmm, mine says BA11F3, so that would mean Series 3 yeah?

Seller said it was a Series 2...score 1 for me

Yep, S3. You get different door trims and interior colors - that's the main visual difference between the 3 vs 1/2. Plus the Indigo Blue was a S3-only color.

Welcome! Whereabouts are you in Australia? If you still have the stock rims and you're in brissy I've got some brand new khumo 31's to suit cheaply.
