As some people have mentioned above, anybody is welcome to join the popuplights.co.uk forum. Im not trying to make anybody visit the site, but if you have a genuine interest in Mazda, Cars or anything else please feel free to join
www.popuplights.co.uk/forum Also why don't you astinaGT admin people ever add my site to your links page? if you want a logo i can supply one Out of interest how long has AstinaGT been going?? my sites only 8 months old, which is probably why its not that popular (yet!) Thanks Joe - Popuplights.co.uk Owner/Creator

you gotta remember joe, decent 10-15 year old mazda`s are a lot more scarce in the UK. :?
so we`re gonna struggle to get a high membership count anyway. plus, what you pay for say....`91 Astina, we could get a 95/96 mondeo!!! also, even though AGT has nearly a thousand members, you might notice that only about 15 to 25 post regularly, and a lot of them from work. members owning BG`s are also becoming scarce. some members don`t even have an astina anymore but have obviously struck up freindships and enjoyed the site forum, i`ve been on a few and this is probably the best mazda forum worldwide!!!! i personally wouldn`t see the point of a UK section in the forum, you`d be quicker and easier just putting up a link to popuplights!!!!! Yep, not a lot of Mazda 323 supporters over in Perth either. I think there is a Hyundai Excel club with 10x the number of supporters over in WA, go figure.
Saw Top Gears report of Mazda 3 and 6, there was a line in there "you could drive completely naked through any major city and no-one would bat an eyelid... you're completely invisible" (well something like that anyway). It's not a car that people notice. :? I think the BG is a great car, but most people wouldn't even think about owning one. In fact before I got mine Nov last year I'd never even heard of an Astina or Protege. Sort of found mine by lucky accident. Maybe if more people realised how great mazda 323's are they'd use them for driving... not de-railing trains.

If its the one that the guy wanted to kill himself(and succeeded), and ended up killing 7 other people and injuring 150 more, then yes it said mazda 323 in article.
I can't remember where I found the article.

Yep it happened 4 miles from me
police roadblocked for a 5 mile radius. It was major news over here. yeah it involved the 'wanker' parking his 323F BJ on the rails and derailing the bloody train and making a lot of peoples lives worse  Another thing i read was that they were checking his car for mechanical failure (when it first happened) and i thought to myself - its a mazda, they don't break

a train de-railment is bad enough, but when you find out some arsehole has deliberately parked up on the rails..........
i hope he was in pain before he died!!! on the topic about mazda popularity: i would never have bought my BG if i hadn`t owned a rwd mazda 323 13 years ago!!! great cars, very under-rated. and 13 years agowhen i had the rwd, i wanted the "new" 323F with the "fancy" pop ups!!! |
