1998 Capella Air bag light flashing
Hello,
so last weekend i had to take out my drivers seat in order to run a new wire to my reversing lights, so in the process i had to disconnect the drivers side seat airbag, following this i have a fault code flashing, 2 long and 6 short, which from research could mean clock spring. However i think it may just be that the car was on with the seat out and it needs to be reset, how would i go about resetting the codes, i have tried disconnecting the battery but to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. |

did you hold the break pedal down when you disconnected the battery.
if it's clock spring it usually means the earth is lost could just be some grease or dirt in between. the only other way I know to reset certain safety aspects is that mazda have seperate plug for each unit you jump two pins and it resets.but can't remember anything for that model. |
