will the PS3 allow you to browse the net still? check the settings etc, if you've got a new ISP then you probably have a different IP etc.

I got quick sick of normal guitar hero but it's different when you have two other people playing with you doing different things. Was tempted to get Call of duty WaW, but no time to even think about it, at least not yet Looking forward to killzone 2 as well still wish i had a xbox360 for Gears of War 2...

it's not the net or anything thats the problem, i can still surf, sign in to playstation and everything, its just it can't sign into any game online. Ppl on the boards can't work out what to do, tryed everything, some ppl say they did nothing and it fixed it self. So weird
Even tried formatting and starting again, but sony and the smart asses they r, when u quick format and normal format it still keeps the updates, so whats the point? Lost all my initial d saves cause u can't copy them.

I'm almost certain I've seen somewhere that you can rollback the firmware?
might have been a dodgy hack somewhere?

ok that's weird!
Have you been applying the updates to the game's as well?? I've noticed that a few games are releasing updates at the moment. I've just played GTA:IV online, it works. I've also just updated GT5:P, it works too. Adz

Not much sun here atm, kinda raining. Im stuck in the bush dude, there for partner = no, closest thing to a chick here is a tree, and that would bring a whole new meaning to tree hugger :P Serious i havn't seen a chick in about a month. At least no nagging, peace and quiet, except for when the cars going. 1 week left out here then i go on break.

u people do realise that tehre are about 3 different versions of ps3 so therefore there can be 3 different updates to correspond to the hardware. one of the versions might be having a issue due to a bug. same as bloddy vista 64 bit isnt that great for the new servce pack where as x86(standard) is.. just wait a little bit and try reupdating or they might release new update specific just to your version

The system updates for the PS3 are universal across the entire range so it doesn't matter what version you have. It's only the HDD which is different [and in the case of the 60gb model, some additional hardware to make it backward compatible with PS2 games].
It's not worth releasing different versions of the System Update as it potentially presents the risk of people selecting the wrong update for their system and as a result could damage the PS3. Moons, you've said that you've formatted and what not. Have you tried the "restore default settings" under SETTINGS > SYSTEM SETTINGS ?? Don't worry, we'll try to figure it out.

nah i mean in the sence that when it 1st came out ALL of the versions were backwards compatible, but after a while only the 60gb is as they couldnt justify the costs (complete bull**** IMO)
but yea i didnt say that there are different versions of updats i just said that thre might be if there are different versions i doubt that they would all be visible, just the one for your model so je just putting that outherre |

Finished Gears of War 2 last night in split screen co-op with my brother.
Great game, very good action - great fun in co-op mode too. Sux to hear the new PS3 update is causing issues. I'm sure the PS3 forums have lit up with people trying and testing things until Sony fix it. I hope the new xbox dashboard coming out this week will work without a hitch. Played Resistance 2 on the weekend. Thats a great game too. I loved the first one. I haven't tried Little Big Planet yet , but I get the feeling its not going to be as ground breaking as Braid on Xbox360. The way they used the time manipulation was amazing. LBP looks like just another platform game with pretty graphics |

I found the best thing to do while waiting for bog to dry, I just got another 4ch amp and some more speakers, hit the 5000watt max mark finally, the back window doesn't like havin 3 subs going. The new pioneer crossovers r great, crank all da way up with no distortion, go the kevlar!! Now my car actually has words to go with the thud
anyway back to PS3 Mirrors Edge is a great game, but be prepaired to die a lot of times, free running with ppl shooting at u is kinda hard, just gotta keep ur flow up. Naruto Storm is good too, bit of a let down, it's basically a cross between cronicals and ultimate ninja. The new final fantasy looks awsome
