Things are ok for my family thank goodness, the 500L water tank we installed in the roof to give Mums place more hot water pressure has turned into a great water supply for mum.
She hasn't a water supply for a while and my sister has dug a hole in the back yard for her no 2's.
But I have heard that my engine survived the quake intact and will be shipped asap.

Its only going to be a few hours to actually swap the engine.
Its going to be getting it running that will be the fun part.
We will have to swap the ECUs but we dont even know if the wiring harness is the same so im getting the loom sent as well.
A few people have done the FS-ZE swap in the US but as there were only 209 MS Familias made very little has been said about them.
There isn't much info to be found about the FS-ZE let alone the Madazspeed FS-ZE on the net, so it looks like im the first to try putting a Mazdaspeed FS-ZE into a granny spec Astina.

Does anyone have any FS-ZE wiring diagrams? I have the FP-DE wiring diagram already.

Phil, any chance you can send me some pics of your FP-DE ECU? Especially looking at the connectors with the plugs removed?

Not that easily, my cars kinda in storage atm, but the wrecker said the ECUs have the same connectors.

Ahhh, this is good news

I was talking to Focus on Mazdas247.com and his first impression was that the swap should be "plug' n' play" (his words). Focus has two or three FS-ZE engines and has adapted them to the USDM ECU's which have very different connectors to ours.

If the wreckers have said that the connectors are the same between your car and the FS-ZE ECU then you might not need the wiring diagrams

Today I rented a ute and went to the freight forwarder then customs and then to AQIS then to the freight depot and finally drop it off at my mechanics, This only took 7 hours and a few $$$.
Now for the final wait, to see if it fits and will work in my car.
I did manage to take some pics though.

Not sure what the go is with the injectors either and the black box is a resonance chamber or something, it gives the FS-ZE more power somehow.
The 4-2-1 extractors do look good.

Has to be to clear customs so has to be clean. Oh and the mismatched purple & green injectors are the standard items on FS'
