These are the specs of my car: Protègè 99 Specs Some friends told me that mod my engine is so expensive & will not have all the power that i'm looking for.... Is that true??? Another friends told me that the best idea is make an engine swap.... What engine do you recommend????? Ithink that FS engines is a good option... What do you think... I'l be expecting your opinions & advices.... |

drop in the FS engine. much cheaper way to gain 20kw than mod the ZM.

na dont bother putting in a 2.0lt the only BIG performance mod is a turbo kit.
the money to convert to the 2.0l would be more than the total cost of getting a turbo kit done. and the power would be a lot more too!

Swapping engines isn't really an engine mod.
Import performance have a Turbo kit for the zm for under 2k looks decent. dunno quality. Its what I'm saving for. There's the timing mod and the usual intake/ exhaust mods. |

i was under the vague impression that the ZM internals were strong enough, depending on how much you want to boost, to not need replacing (not taking into account engine age/condition)

The pioneer car for the 1.6 HiBoost kit made 240+whp early in it's life, with stock internals, and gay auto. I got NFI how it's come along since those days?

last thing i heard was 240whp too....
but yeah stock internals on this engine are meant to be really good. plus the highboost kit can be plummed up with a stock intake to look stock-ish. thats what id probably buy if i was gonna spend money on the zmde....
