Mazda Protege Five Turbo

"I really think that Less is More if there is an extreme amount of "Less".

Each and every part is selected based on, Function and Reliability, Then It Must never stand out, seem out of place, and it must be part of the rest.

I do not want a bunch of parts in a car, I want a Single Perfect Machine."

Hello, I am Brian. I have been working on my Mazda Protege5 since I bought it in 2002.
There are not parts that were not specifically made custom for the car. Hardly any "Bolt-Ons", and even if they were bolted on, they were either prototype parts or the only one made.
I have just installed a Haltech Sport 1000 with IQ3 racepak display. I am the first person to install this engine management system on this engine running Direct Fire Ignition and Full Timed Sequential Injection.

It can be viewed at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/503974 in better detail.

Looking forward to more details on your electric water pump (EWP) setup as this is something that I want to do as well.

Not really... the car is 2280 Lbs.

No Heater
No Air Con
No Power Steering
No Front or Rear Wipers
No Stereo
No Power Steering
No Rear Seats
Fuel Tank Modified
Aluminum Cat Back
Aluminum Rear multi Link Suspension
Sport 20 Rear Bumper (-22 Lbs)
Work Emotion 18" Rims (16 lbs per)

All that "Interior" is plastic and weighs less than 10 Lbs...

It's Plated and Insured...

Unless Canada changes it's Laws to something other than what it is now, I will continue to drive it on the street.

Ah nice mate, I love that you're still able to drive that on the street. Do you guys have similar car modifying laws like we do in Aus or is it an open slather?

I think your insurance premium would be pretty funny to look at!! Your convo with the insurance mob:

Insurance bird: "Ah sir are there any modifications you'd like to ad?"

You: "Have you got a couple of hours...?"

Have you got any time figures for quarter mile and Texas mile?? Although looks like you've got a new set-up happening at the moment??
