Astina 323 1991 Head Unit Replacement

Hi all,
I recently got a 91' 323 Astina. It's got some old piece of crap cassette head unit in there which I want to replace. Removing it is easy enough but fitting a new head unit is where I'm stuck. I'm doing this one step at a time and keeping the current speakers for now.

I picked up a Pioneer head unit but the way the old unit mounts is by four screws, two on each side. The new pioneer head unit is designed to just slide and clip in the way most modern units do.

The pioneer unit has no way to actually be secured.

Any ideas on what I can do here?

That's wierd because generally the head units come with the metal sleeve that has multiple screw holes for a mount system and then the head unit just slides into that

Yeah you're missing the frame. I assume its second hand. You can probably buy a new one from autobarn.

if you don't have the mounting bracket with the 4 outward facing tongues for the screwing down. You will either have to get yourself a Fascia Kit or make a bracket up. alot of the mazda range around the late 80's early 90's had their radios mounted this way

Thanks for the replies. Got it all sorted. I had the frame, I had just never installed a "new age" head unit. Didn't realise you had to bend the pins up in order to secure it! haha very noob.
