Dual Inputs on DVC sub

Hey guys. After getting a new head unit, i thought i'd compliment it with some bass, so i bought a kenwood KAC-91520 1800w peak amp and 2x soundstream PCW-12's for it. Ive wired up single voice coil subs before, and thought another voice coil wont be too hard. But these subs have 2 inputs per positive and negative terminal, per voice coil, rather than the 2 i was expecting. Does anyone have an idea what to do here? Should i just put 1 wire into each terminal like normal or what? its the 3rd picture down you can see it in. It shows one of the voice coils, the same on the opposite side. Thanks, Matt

dont hold me to this but i think u wire it like this:
ur positive from the amp goes to one of ur positive ones on the sub, then from the negative that is with that one u link to the other positive terminal on the sub and then the negative goes back to the negative point on ur amp. this also means the sub runs in 2 ohm mode.

atleast thats my understanding of wiring up dual voice coil subs.

it depends on weather you want to run a parallel or inline setup for the coils. if you do what scott said thats a inline. if you go and connect your positives together on the coils, and negatives together on coils then just run conect one positive to amp and one negative to amp that parrallel. in parrallel your subs ohm rating (impedence) halfs, and in inline it doubles. this way you can wire it up to different amps

you need to match the wiring configuration to the amp.

The way that you wire the subs will change the resistance ( ohms ) rating. Your amp will have a set of resitance ratings that it supports and the watts that it provides at each rating.

Go here for the configurations available to you

I'm pretty sure those amps can run two ohm... On the amp should be four outputs, it should look like a two channel amp. Run a negative and a positive from the amp to one voice coil one the sub, now run a wire from the other voice coil positive and connect it to the positive on the first voice coil.. do the same with the negatives. RepeAt with the other sub and your done. just make sure that the subs are only dual 4 ohm voice coils and it should be sweet
