6x9 component speakers
Just got a set off ebay for $9.95 coz I've pretty much stuffed my rears.
Has anyone heard of these before? Prosonic Audio http://cgi.ebay.com.au/NEW-6x9-SPLIT...742.m153.l1262 I figure that for $10 it doesn't really matter how they go, they have to be better than what I have already lol. Last edited by lovemyBG; 02-02-2009 at 05:20 PM. Reason: Link didn't work. |

Weird, i've never seen 6x9" splits before.
As you said, for $10 you can't complain. |

Yes
6x9 Components have been around for more than 20 years
Yusualy they are real good and sound great if you mount them on a solid surface like an MDF Parcel shelf thats how they make bass and good bass at that Parrot 22 years in car audio instalation http://www.rlsnell.20m.com http://www.autowreck.com.au http://z3.invisionfree.com/APV/index.php http://photobucket.com/apvparrot http://www.youtube.com/user/parrotscaraudio |

i dont know how people blow their speakers??
ive listened to really loud music for long periods of time and they have always worked perfectly...incorrect wiring techniques is the only thing that i can think of |

Dodgy amps will do it, as will feeding 'em more power than they're rated for.

i was running them off my head unit coz im too poor to get another amp lol.
im pretty sure we wired them properly as well... we followed the instruction on the box and we soldered everything. i think they were just cheap materials as the sound coming out of the tweeters is really soft and crackly.. the crossovers looked really cheaply made too... the wires were screw in and they kept falling out so we had to put a bit of solder on the wires and then screw them in. |
