ABRA KADABRA dissapear in a puff of smoke

for the last couple of months my car has been dissapearing in a puff of blue oil smoke after sitting at sets for traffic lights for at least 1 minute any other time it wont blow smoke i am thinking it would be the valve seals cause the piston rings where only replaced 2 years ago but hay it could be anything so pleese anyone feel free to voice your thoughts on this weird subject.

NOTE: only does it after idling for at least one minute (i timed it) and than smokes like hell at take off.

i second valve seals, i need to change mine too. its on the list for the re-condition.

they should have done the valve stem seals at the same time as the rings, would have been much easier than doing them now

just be careful though i have been to mechanics between waterford and beenleigh not far from u and most of them want to charge u for rings without hearing wot else u have to say...

they tried that on me but didnt want to hear that i replaced the rings about 25000kms ago...

till i got to tranz mechanical in beenleigh they deal in all the jap **** ...they always have nice cars out the front

he told me if they can do it onthe car it will be 350 and if they have to pull the head off it will be a couplr off hundred more..

500-600 is alot better than 1500-1600 wot everyone else wanted to charge me

its due to go in tommrow but im just debating to rack the car off as ive found something
