I have decided to wait it out... and get a Nokia N97

http://www.nokia.com.au/find-product...#/main/landing

in a nutshell, its a full touchscreen phone with a slide out querty keyboard, 32gb of memory, 3.5" screen..

Its being released I would say mid July, and suppose to $1000+, but from the reviews is a far better fone then the blackberries & iphone

only thing im worried about with nokia touch screens is this is only their second model to come out with it...and the first being the 5800 express (i was looking at getting) but suposebdly its not that easy to navigate through all the menus and text and so on...

nokia N97 - as seen in batman awesome phone
ultratouch looks very cheap when you see it in person.
the N97 might be the 2nd touchscreen phone released by nokia, but the iphone as the 1st relseased by apple and for the tochscreen part they did a awesome job. nokia had many years building greatest phones in the world so i think that would b a winner

eww, hate samsung with a passion!

The nokia N97 wins it for me as the iPhone 3GS is just a normal iphone with more memory (32gb), 3.2mp camera and video capablities, nothing for me to go WOW about. not even the screen has been updated...

As bourbs has said previously, I too have been a nokia fanboy myself, and looks it'll be another nokia i'll get

Nokia widgets ftw!

Marc

I have just got one of the Sony Ericsson xperia X1's and so far im quite impressed.
Its got a 3.2 megapixel camera, and a front mounted camera for video calling,
it runs windows mobile and a 800 x 480 res touch screen.
It has all the usual things your after in a phone including a slide out keyboard, GPS, and its got a fairly decent battery life.
And its not an i-phone, just to be different.

Its not really a sony, Its a HTC phone with a sony badge. So far its great and there are some fun programs you can get for it, and it wakes a great wireless access point for my laptop if i need it away from home.

i was thinking it was a good phone...but just been such a nokia fan...never been able to use any other types of phones easily...

its just amazing at the build quality of the iphone & the easyness of it all...its such a much nicer looking phone than the nokias, samsungs, lgs, sonys & htc etc...everything you need is at a tap of the screen

ill stick with my 2.5 year old HTC P3600i. perfect gps (gets a fix within a minute usually - with tom tom), great wifi, decent battery, nice and light, heaps and heaps of cool mods/cooked roms to play with (as do most wm6 platforms) and idk just havent found anything easier/nicer to use... and cheap too... does everything an iphone does for about 1/10 of the price...
