ok guys heres the new pics...just gotta wait on some O-RINGS from aaron...but its all installed...

something i realized too is the standard gearknob doesnt go all the way down as well...but as soon as a new one is put on it will look a fair bit smaller

I can recommend a screw on knob (it's so hard not to make a nawty comment)

Try a VooDoo
I have a satin pearl in the MX5 and it's tres sexi!
TeamVoodoo
Voodoo knobs fit slightly lower on the shaft, they are also heavier which aids in changing gear.
Miata site that shows all the voodoo's really well

This is the VooDoo I have:
(Images of other knobs from the internet, these are not my actual car pics)

The magnum Voodoo knob is a 2 inch sphere of solid aluminum, spun finished, then clear powdercoated to produce our pearl finish. It's specially drilled mounting hole provides a quick & easy short-shift conversion, and it feels great in your hand. A must for every sportscar enthusiast!

I might add that the Voodoo was designed specifically for the MX-5 and based on the similar Ferrari design. Several different weights were tried and studied for vibration, inertia etc. Nothing comes close for feel. I also had a Momo but the Voodoo left it for dead.

The only place I know of that sells the Voodoo's is MX5Mania
Quote:
Voodoo Gear Knobs
The gear knob of choice for MX-5 owners around the world. Machined from a solid billet of aluminium in the style of classic Ferarri's and Formula 1 cars, Voodoo gear knobs are designed to enhance gearshift feel and accuracy. Available in a variety of finishes: polished, spun, pearl, textured black and polished black. Price (AUD) from $60.00
I believe Arden obtained a knob from Mania so maybe he will comment.
If anyone is ordering anything from MX5Mania, can you please get me:

Quote:
Voodoo Knob Trim Ring
The trim ring is a small, smart looking finisher piece for all standard size Voodoo gear knobs. Price $12.00
Unfortunately, I am unable to order anything from MX5 Mania so I would really appreciate it if anyone is placing an order to get in touch with me because I also want the hardtop hoist.
Pretty Please????

There's also RAZO which is similar:
http://www.carmate-usa.com/html_razo...minumround.htm

I might start a gear knob thread and cut and paste this info into it.
