Desembling side mirrors for BA 97

Hi everyone,
Just recieved my chinese mazda emblem and chrome side mirrors with LEDs from www.carfieldenterprise.com. Just wanted to know if anyone knows how pull apart the side mirrors, i've tried everything but the mirror just won't come apart, so I gave up and hide the LED cables in the mirror..They look pretty good will add pics up soon ....any help is appreciated.

from workshop manual :

1 Push the top of the mirror glass
2. Pull the bottom of the mirror glass and remove the mirror glass from the frame.

thats all it says for dismantling the outside bit.

ive also got the wiring details if thats useful.

To take the whole mirror off, you first have to remove the inside door cards, 3 or four screws. You can then gain access to the 4 bolts that hold the mirror unit on, remove these and the morror and its plate will slide out the top Have you bought the whole mirror or just some covers?

As said the mirror unclips, you just need to be a little braver then you can pull the rest apart on the car. The '97-'98 had a different external moulding.
Dogo's mirrors are the earlier ones.

Actually, they're the later ones, as they're originally from EZZY which was a 1997 BA.
