door handle issues
hey guys
i ended up buying a set of chrome door handles from ebay, nad after a whole day of trying to get them on i still havent achieved anything at all. it seems that on the passengers side door the handle wont stay on. where it connects around the locking macanism it doent seem to wanna link up. has anyone else bought these and have any advice?? it seems that the bolt to go over cradle over the lock isnt long enough, but on the oem one it fits fine?? it almost feels as if the thread has been rounded off, but it sorta catches but then just falls off. any advice???

check the thread it might not be cut properly, also if they chromed the standard handles the thread would become smaller, so just clean it up, just a little bit and check to c if the screws will fit when handle is off the car if you havnt already.. apart from that perhaps get a different lenths screw, or the one that you have just make it a little more tapered at the tip so that the tread can cut itself in better mayb..
i hope this helps |
