Good mechanic/workshop?

Hi there! Got my 94 v6 astina 2 months ago, and its 140k kms service is coming up. I'm just wondering the following:
1. Does anyone with a car that age still send their car to Mazda for service? My car's been serviced at mazda its entire life cos the previous owner worked there.
2. Do you have any good recommendations, I've only just moved to Perth in Jan this year and don't know of any good mechies or workshops. If I have no better option I might just send it back to a Mazda workshop, but I think that would kill me with a $250 plus bill?

Cheers, thanks in advance. PS I live in Freo.

Hi Dhee, thanks for that... I've not contacted ur friend yet, but it looks like it's more of a mod workshop than an automechanic's? I'm just after a reliable mechie who will give me a good price on a service and checkup. I'm just a complete noob when it comes to all things mechanical, and would definitely do the oil/filter change myself if I had the space/garage.
