WTB: [VIC] Tinted clear or grey side indicators

As the topic states. Can you get clear side indicators that are tinted a bit or can you get light grey side indicators?

Do you think I could tint myself some clear side indicators?

Where would I get some clear one's that are a good fit?

Thanks in advance!!! :P

i used niteshades on my clear lenses, it's more black than grey, but i guess if you only put one one coat or 2 very thin coats (better option) it would look grey

And not sure if this is a stupid question... But did you tint the inside or the outside of them? if on the outside... does it wear off? or scratch easy?

Thanks MrPayner for the link, works like a charm!

outside. it does wear off and can be scratched easily, however mine have been fine now for about 8 months. not a scratch on them and no signs of wearing off.

the key is making sure they are ultra clean before painting - ie use thinners to get every last drop of crap off

Niteshades is great stuff and as a painter/ spray painter I recommend a few light coats while passing over them both at the same time so they are identical. Its easy to make one darker than the other and harder to get them bak the same without starting again
If you go too dark then you can just buy a brighter bulb and presto, works in daylight.
Also it is advisd that you put a few coats of clear over the final product to protect them , I have had tinted tail lights for 3 1/2 years with clear cot on top and no worries.
P.S. If you go too dark on a ligh car you will atract the wrong attention
