Protege SP20 Clear Altezza Lights 4 Sale

Hi All, just wondering if anyone is interested in purchasing a set of clear Altezza lights for their Protege SP20, or even standard Protege, see pic below.
I purchased these about 8 months ago for about $390.00, was told there were only 3 sets in Melbourne, I am well prepared to sell it for under my purchase price.
I am only selling them because I have a new set of lights, so I obviously dont need two sets, (3 if you include the stock ones).

If you're interested, make me an offer, you can email me at LazerST@hotmail.com or post a reply here!

Cheers

LazST

I think I've seen this car as well in Parkville. Has it got a MAZDA sticker on the frontbar?

Yeah, it's you alright. You were parked outside of that residential college.

I saw you get out of what looked like a stock car. By the time you walked passed me, I noticed the sticker. Then noticed the rear.

You need new rims and some lowering! Got any more pics of your car?

Damn this is getting scary, just the thought that ppl know who you are and what car you drive!!! :P

ahb11m, I cant mod the lights, the glue seems like some superglue not silicon, had a mate who does body repairs look at it too, he didn't recommend taking it apart. So i just wanna get different ones!

P'cisT, I'd love to get new rims, and lower my car, but its still under manufacture's warranty (5 years), I asked them about it, but they said, anything like that will void my warranty. At the moment just doing cosmetic things, but dont want to go over the top with it. Wanting to get a metalic tint for my windows, still looking in to it. Just got myself a stainless steal gauge insert, its ace.

Hey Adam, posted some pics in the reader's ride, thanks for the tip, hope you enjoy, pics also below.

Pretty nice. (Not sure about the bonnet protector, but guess it does its job  ). Would love to see pics of the black altezzas when you get them installed.

If you want to do cosmetic stuff, but not go overboard, just get do stuff like paint the brake calipers, clear indicators (not sure if you have them), mesh, slimline plates maybe, blacken the headlights etc. Actually, I reckon you really need to blacken the headlights since you've got dark altezzas now! Dark window tint as well and your car would look so mean.

The warranty period is a bit of a bugger. I know some Pulsar guys have enquired and found out if they change suspension and the fault to the car was not related (eg engine stuff up), it would be repaired. However, I wouldn't be taking risks as well.

Hope to hear more about it soon. 8)

stick em in the oven on very low heat at you'll be able to prise them apart - just enuf to melt the glue/tar

"stick em in the oven on very low heat at you'll be able to prise them apart - just enuf to melt the glue/tar" - Rupewrecht

Thanks for the advice Rupewrecht, that what we had planned to do, but my friend said, again because he didn't think it was ordinary glue, he thought that it might actually ruin the lights. He might be wrong, and i'm not in a position to know better...

And plus, i like the new layout of the black lights. I really want to get rid of these, i'm tempted just to stop any protege i drive past and ask them if they want it... I wonder if any dealers would want them as spare parts or something?? Any suggestions anyone???

it's not ordinary glue, it's like a tar really that becomes tacky (but still extrememy sticky) when exposed to hight heat.

i've openend up a set of hardtop light sin this way without any problems. the only way you'd ruin the lights is but melting them, which is not that easy to do!
