Two different engines?

Hello, i'm new to mazda conversions..just got myself a B6T..but mine is a little bit different from other B6T..i can't upload pics of my engine so i get those similar..below are two B6Ts..the second picture of the engine is similar to mine..can u guys tell me wat r the differences? n wat can i do to boost up the capability of this engine.

both those are the same engine, apart from one looks all clean...

The bottom one is the Japspec engine. The Top one is the Aus delivered engine.

The japspec is said to be the better one to get performance out of, but as for specific details, i'm not sure sorry (the b6t's aren't my thing). If you have no luck on here, have a search on www.fordlaser.com because it's been covered a thousand times on there.

My mech's friend also told me that mine a Jap spec. Anyways. Thanx guys!

yeah it's j-spec and I have to say finding parts for some of minor differences is pain. I think only difference is the plenum and few minor details to do with emissions I think could be thinking more BP

Nah japspec pistons are different to Aus ones too I'm pretty sure...Fosgate is the one to talk to when it comes to B6T's and the differences.
