If it cools down quicker, I'm sure it heats up faster too...

Hey, i just bought an Injen Intake off ebay,

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=38634

Cost me 350AU including insured shipping, i happy with the price, considering all the research iv done lately (isnt that right twigy) and considering the black is worth more that the polished intake too

Should get it in the next couple of days!!

doesn't sound cheap

the CAI on my laser cost me under $10 and does a great job. made a difference to noise and performance

Im actually looking at a cai like ardens i was looking at some engine bay shots i took at the aus day cruise and i like the look of his, it looks to me like i wouldnt have to worr about sucking water up and suffering vapour lock and it looks quiet nice. Arden have you got the details on the set up.

Arden has an AEM short ram intake (SRI) which faces down over the front of the gearbox, and is supposed to suck the air up from the samll scoop in the undertray...

craigy boy, the injen can be used in a short form from what i can make out?

i have mine setup so i can use it short, and then crusie time go long...

essentially only have the long intake on for when it would be shown.. should help make it all look uber tidy!

unless you plan on driving through 40+cm of water, dont be worried about vapour lock. on wednesday night last week when i was driving back from the dyno place it was bucketing down rain. i had the fog light removed and i had previously cut away the area in front of the air filter. i was flogging the car on the way home and when i got home the filter was soaked, but the car never missed a beat.

I have 4 inch ducting facing forward through the fog light cover just above the stone tray in my old laser.

I used to do wollongong to sydney everyday, quite a few of those I was behind trucks in heavy rain spraying up water.

My filter has never got wet so I don't think vapour lock is a big issue.
