I'm just gunna use it for cruising so doesnt really need to b able to go round a track...but zippy, handles well and smooth ride are a must. Looking to spend about $15-$18k, 2nd hand doesnt matter... cheers!

can't go past a Mx-5

having said that

the last Mr2 - sucked in everyway IMO except for the crusie ability

MGF's should be all blown up.

Astra converts are like hmmm yes and no. No because parts when they fail and they do - are a joke.

all older BMW and merc converts will need 5K for up keep
soon as touch them.

If anywere in the price range S2000 are real nice but well - hmm my mates S2000 supercar as I call it has shown all weakness in them. It's just that all 2nd hand ones will need a rebuild. Timming chain streetchs and really pricey on up keep even stock. I've seen 3 with rebuilt motors in them under 120,000km's

Then of course you have some imports.
So it gets interesting

if your looking cruiser IMO nothing like a 4 seater convertable.

AKA - SAAB - hmm yes SAAB. if looked after right 93 bottom range motor mid range spec - so even low Pressure turbo. Great crusiers. Nothing special but you can do it in style.

NB MX5
awesome car, and I'll be looking to buy one next year.

low km ones tend to be around $20,000+
higher km are around $15,000-$20,000

If you leave MX5s stock they can seem that way, but a nice set of rims and some lowering can fix that.

NA

NB

I'd hardly call them feminine haha

Otherwise the Honda S2000 is more masculine, but a torqueless wonder.

If you want a man convertable

you need a GTO convertable - or a Barrcuda convertable - Imparla. Or anytype of american tank with it's roof off.
Other then that.

It does not matter what oyu say if you drop the top - Your guy your Either going to be called a BIT Gay or considered a hairdresser yourself.
AKA - LOOK AT ME LOOK AT ME - Ain't I wonderfull.
Most real blokes have a hard top and it never comes off - Or the car shows and means business.

One thing about a Saab convertable - It says wanker with out saying look at me I'm a wanker,AKA - 318I convertable.

haha noice rodhog it made me lol cus a friend of myn has a 318i haha

umm if you leave the mx5 stock it will looks girly but get a noice kit 4 it n lower it like everyone else sais n there i mean common 323Astina is a bit of a girly car 2 there is no denying it most iv seen on road r being driven by middle aged women. but ay who cares IMO myn looks sexy, n so does every other one here

but if you do get the MX5 get the hard top convertible ie the one that has a hard rooof colour of the car but the roof comes of rather tahn folds in know what i mean?
also MR2 targa (old one new ones look liek sheit)

another option is a capri?? leaky roof, but with the money left over you could re-do the roof, respray, lower put rims on and it would look pretty good imo..

or buy the black mx5 that rupe posted! that looks nuts!!
