She be near death I fear.

So I am back in a mazda and aint she a beauty.

1989 626 Sedan, 278,000kms.

Undocumented features include,
A dodgy auto trans,
Leaks from somewhere
Steering wheel shakes like crazy, oh and is covered in duct tape because its falling apart.
A broken boot release and Central locking that suffers from PMS,
Small swamp in passenger foot well if it has been raining that month,
Squeal from hell coming from right passenger side brake (I think)
Plus more I am sure I have forgotten,

On the plus side however I am fairly sure the whole roof is dent free (but don't quote me).

I bought it off my sister for 800 with 11 months rego, She was going overseas and I had just sold the Alfa because implosion was imminent.

Anyway I have a couple of questions about how to keep this fine automobile on the road for a little while longer cause I don't want another before heading OS again.

Oh and as I am sure you realise I am not willing to spend anything like money on this car but I do begrudgingly shell out for (the cheapest) oil (which she uses a fair bit of).

OK Problems

1,
Steering wheel shake,
Driving along steerring wheel shakes from left to right pretty bloody badly, suggestions?

2,
The leak,
It is leaking somewhere near the roof any tips on how to find this leak and fill the fuker up with silicon?

3,
Squaly brake,
Sometimes when I start the car it squeals from what I think is the front passenger side wheel, when I brake it stops making the sound. sometimes it will go away after a few times using the brakes sometimes I need to slam the brakes on hard for it to go away.

So yes any fixes or give this a whirl you can suggest.
If your suggested fix involves a cost of more than $100 tell me what it does and I will fashion something out of Bog, Cable ties and Gaffer tape.

Cheers good people.

1/ machine your front rotors - may also fix problem 3
balance wheels, fix alignment

2/ ??? silicon perhaps

3/ maybe check pad wear, might need replacing.
