Talking just some simple questions about the V6 astina

hi guys, been a while since i've visited the site... the mazda has been a bit neglected of late, and now i'm paying the price...

just some (hopefully) easy questions:

1) does k&n (or similar) make a panel filter to suit the V6 - autobahn says there isn't one

2) anyone got a decent price on leads for V6 - was told $150 today (by autobahn)

3) anyone had problems with electric aerial not working? motor still drives, but it doesn't go up or down..

thanks, i think that is all for now...

3) have you got an aftermarket headunit installed? prehaps you didn't wire up the aerial wire to remote.

2: i think skippy got some made up by spitfire were is the region of 200-250 i think, ask him about it, i know ngk in japan did dunno if u can get them here and autoexe made some but there are like 400+ just for the leeds no shipping from japan

3: my aerial got taken out by a tree, the car was fine but the aerial(just the rod) got taken out, i bought a new one from mazda, the aerial goes up and down by gear pushing a white peice of plastic cable, this cable might of broken, easyest thing to do is next time u get a service ask them to have a look

I would advise you avoid the Mazda leads are they a reputably quite ****,
Paid like 150-200 or so for Splitfire leads, took em about a week to make up as they don't normally make them for the V6,

re the aerial have a similar problem been told to check some plastic thing inside that breaks quite easily, waiting for next service but.

problems are solved..

the plastic thing in the aerial is a thing strip of ribbed (teeth) plastic that wraps around the motor.. the motor turns and the drives the teeth up or down..

after time the thin plastic snaps
