Wow, that is the best non-airbag steering wheel I've ever seen! (in my opinion )

Did MS ever do airbagged versions Dan? I'm waiting for the day I see a nice replacement steering wheel that actually has an airbag in it...

So nice i've put a bid on it myself haha

About your only option for an airbag wheel is a leatherbound version of the factory one, or and MX5 airbag wheel

A few questions on the wheel:
- is it the same size as the stock one?
- would I need to purchase anything else
- what would be a reasonable expectation for price, landed to sydney?

- Will be 360mm, though it doesn't specify. No idea what stock BG is!
- You'd need a boss/hub kit to attach the wheel to the steering column. Easily available. Also a horn button.
- For that wheel, 5000-8000 is realistic. 5000yen = $135 landed, 8000yen = $180 landed

do they tend to come in colors at all rupe or do they just come in black. if only black how do you think powdercoating would go for the metal bits?

Only black or brown leather. But the centres can be brushed silver, brushed gunmetal, brushed black or polished chrome.
You've have to strip the whole wheel to powdercoat it - better off just spraying the centre.

If you want to go to the trouble. Or just rattlecan it - it's not a high wear area.

Was there ever a wooden MS wheel along the same lines as the wooden gearknob?

Nah, never a wooden one. The closest was a brown leather 360mm wheel with the full MS centre pad.
