depends on how young and stupid you are. if you pace yourself and not mind highway driving then you will be fine ... i did sydney to brisbane when i was sick in 11 hours in the sp18 mk2 ... however it should be a 12 hour dirve from sydney or as twiggy said 10 from newwy

We were even considering leaving on thursday night and pulling an allnighter stopping a couple of times along the way, that way we could get to brisbane mid morning to midday, but that was just an idea.

We would leave here at say 9.30 or 10.00 at night and drive up stopping along the way.

I feel so forgotten......

*starts yelling from Canberra*

*the cold air muffles the noise so it doesn't go anywhere*

I have been to QLD 3 times in the last 2 years though, so pretty pleased with that effort!

We are going to have to see how it goes for money to determine whether or not we can go....

I would love to take the Miata

I'll be leaving early week guys, so I'll be out of the whole group cruise up thing.

I dont understand why you want to leave at like 10pm at night though? :S It's not necessary. Yeah it takes 10 or so hours, but the traffic during the day is nothing anyway. Besides, you "should" only do the speed limit whether it be day or night.

For the past 3 years, I've left newcastle at 5am and made it to tweed border by 1pm. Yes this is traveling during the day and yes this doing the speed limit.

The reason I say it, is because it's much safer traveling the long trip during then day when your supposed to be awak. Remember the Dr. Carl ad.

Id posibly consider entering my car in the novice Sound Quality Event, I might have an ok chance, but ill certainly be finding about what other cars entering might be running system wise.Ill need a pretty big tune before i would even consider entering.
