AstinaGT Xmas Doo!

Well I suppose I should get off my butt and do something about this.....

*social director strikes again*

Because Aaron and I are leaving mid December for long awaited and long overdue holiday (no holiday for Aaron, he gets to meet my MOTHER) I was hoping to plan something for early December.....

How say the crowd?

I will put up a poll for a date preference ie/ Saturday 6th or Sunday 7th December.

Feel free to post IDEAS for what you would like to do for the day.

I will then do another poll on what people have suggested and get the crowd preference.

So here goes the first one.

Which day suits you best?

Vote away AstinaGT!!!!!

Should probably put a closing date on the poll as its only 3 and a bit weeks away and knowing this bunch we'll be at it for ages debating the pros and cons.

As for what we could do..... how about Canberra people meet in the morning, drive down to Batemans' Bay and up the coast to Nowra. Sydney people mosey down to meet up in Nowra picking up gong-people along the way. Then we all have a big BBQ, blat up Kangaroo Valley and afternoon tea and scones in Berima or Moss Vale then split at the Highway and go north/south respectively for an easy cruise home?

Doesn't really cater for the Vics but they live in Mexico so its their own damn fault!

That is a fantastic idea Andy!!!!!
Any idea how long it will take? Maps etc? Not being a Canberran native/local/resident for long enough, I don't have enough local knowledge to know much about this Will we be back in time for a BBQ outside your famous yacht club? Or is it City Club for dinner, LOL!!!!!

As for it being a bad weekend for you Jim, sorry mate, I knew it wouldn't be good for everyone, and I had to make a D pretty quick. My dreaded diary is just about full too. I wish I could do something to make sure you would be there......
*has a brain fart trying to mentally cancel all your parties that weekend*
nope, my esp aint working!
and I was going to offer to bring you fireworks, LOL... or even that red number from the Pr0n shop...... oh santa?????

Dan ~ Futon is booked in your name!
It "might" even be in a bedroom by then... no promises, LOL!

*note to self to get the kiddies wading pool for the courtyard*

Where is our fearless leader.... Tony??????
You have to be there of course!!

There's always a BBQ at my place

Leanne? Want some champagne again? Say yes!!!!!!!

Let's get it all happening!

YAY!!!!

Its a fair drive...
Canberra - Nowra is 3.5-4 hours though we can stop for a coffee in Batemans Bay
Sydney - Nowra depends on where your coming from but I would guess its about 1.5-2 hours from Sutherland Shire???

Moss Vale at the top of Kangaroo Valley is about 1:45 from Canberra along the highway at 120 and about 45 minutes to an hour to the end of the M5 heading north.

It might be just far enough north to convince the central coasters and Novocastrians to make the trip??

ok, this is a poor turnout once again....

A grand total of 6 votes???????

Andy, your grand trip might not be a goer with this few people.......

Other options include:

1.) Meet up in Wollongong for a Gathering
2.) Gather in somewhere between Sydney and Canberra that is totally different and somewhere we haven't been before.
3.) Meet up in Sydney and do AUSTRALIA'S WONDERLAND!!!!!
4.) Everyone come to Canberra again when the weather is a lot better.

I am sure that everyone, like myself, doesn't want to go traipsing all over the place for a mere handful of people.

This is getting a bit disappointing, so fire up that enthusiasm and
GET FRIGGIN' EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

Lets be a Car Club, a real group of enthusiasts, I want to meet you people, I want to know who you are, and this time YOU will have to get off your butts and DO something about it.

If my ideas aren't what you want, then say so!!!
C'mon, be proactive and as Nike say: "Just Do It"
