i appreciate rupeys help , seriously. the curved neck is the choice, flatter torque curve earlier in the rev range i read, and abit easier fit into the bay.

it will happen, have to stay focused.

wow... this is pretty epic discussion hahaha
I used to have a astina hardtop, too... was my first car... they're nice little cars. the reason they're so light, though... its coz the doors etc. are tinny/hollow and things dont seem to be up to Mazda's usual high quality and solid-ness standards.... maybe it was just mine (it was a lil dodgy.. it lacked a lil paint and had a bit of rust)...
Congrats on the buy, hope to see ya stick at the hardtop
