End of an Era!
Hey guys,

Full leather interior, 3" Turbo back exhaust, Intercooler Upgrade, Apexi FC Ecu Upgrade, and a K&N Pod Filter that sucks small children towards it. Dyno sheets for 175kw. Have since changed rims to stock S15 rims - I like them and keeps police away Silver on black 'OSI50' license plates purchased and in the mail! Wave if you see me! Below photos are thanks to my mate Ben from Statik Illusions Photography! He's quite awesome at what he does, which is quite evident! His website link is http://www.statikillusions.com/. Greatest investment I've ever made. I giggle every time i walk around the corner to drive it. I generally baby her around, warm her up with low revs for the first few minutes of drive - purely cos i know she can preform at the drop of a hat, and it loves fuel when the pedal is pushed to the floor :P
Being my first rear wheel, and turbo for that matter, it's been a steep learning curb, but I'm learning fast. Needs to be kitted out with some suspension upgrades, for at the moment - it's got more then enough power in a straight line for me. The Astina has strut braces and coilovers, so i think that will be the first investment, i need to keep it low and on the road for my own safety :P Won't spare any expenses this time around tho, I grabbed BC coilovers for the astina, and tho they did their job perfectly for what i needed them for (cornering on public roads, and generally a better look), they were quite rough on dampening, and i've seen first hand what quality coil overs can handle like. Cheers, Steve.

ah the old silvia. Fun aren't they. I use to love them about 12 months in 1999 till 2000. untill every WANKER in sydney go on the 200 band wagon. helped me get rid of my S14 and even my original S13 1.8L nugget L-plate car.
I tell you what is awesome about them- SIMPLICITY. I can't have one because it's not me - every local DICK has had one. But man Easy to work on - S14-15 much eaiser Sr20 then the S13 or CA18. Mild upgrades and they love it. Box is sweet enough for moderate upgrades - even a mild clutch - you don't need to put in a over the top one to make it work. Bonus everything is now off the shelf. Boring in that way but it makes life easy. I do like Red with no wing. only thing - nO side shot - Everyone like side shot- you might get side boob. |

Spose you're right, they are starting to pop up everywhere, you could liken it to me getting the Astina a few years ago :P My plans for her are to leave the body stock, i'm in the process of getting s15 stock rims on her today. Then just to tidy up the engine bay, probably spray the intercooler black, in an attempt to keep attraction of the fuzz from me as long as possible :P Quote:
IMO the s15 looks amazing as close to stock as you can get it. But somewhere down the track, maybe end of year when i own it and not the bank, i'll slap on a nice set of stock R34 GTR rims, and visually i think i'll be done, oh and a dumping with some nice coilovers. Cheers, Steve.

ah the GT spec S15. My sister has a pewter S15, im always working on it because she's too lazy.
as what rodhog said. they are simple to work on. not much you need to do with interior as it looks good as it is. you should check out my friend's blog. he's currently doing simple and effective mods to his car. http://omgpham.com/ Chewy

I went to swap our 02 323 SE for a GT S15 in 2005, but my wife wouldn't let me get one for the same reason above; "too many wankers with them"
I like my Skoda now though, so all worked out.. |

It's the same story with sp20s now all the p-platers are starting to catch on just like what happened with the 200s in Sydney. Won't be too long before every leb and his dog has one lol.

It's because SP20s are under $7K buy price now. Within reach of P-Platers budgets.

I would not worry too much. Well if you live in the west yeah you will see it. but it's like well when I grew up - Gemini's or the Lebanese sports car to anyone in bankstown. then it was Pulsar SSS N14's. then it was WRx' MY 95's S14A - then S15 - around same time R33's - it all goes in phases. Each Generation. 90% only hold onto the car for as long as it's driveable or not written off. Others will donate testicales and then sell it. I've had my Mx-6 since high school. I was only one with a newish car and only one with a turbo. everyone else has parents left overs and other wise 70's early 80's. Now I know I'm the only one with the same car from then. Originality is not always instant. I said back when they thought about the P-plater rule - I said to a owner of a original Type R - everyone will want one of these, but they will be then all be ****. Worn out thrashed and not worth the trouble to a P-plates. Sold that honda to his younger bro. 3 paint trip - I re-did the head and it needs full suspension overhaul. Sold 1 month ago to a uni student. |

The car and shots look godo but one thing KILLS it. andi t's obvious.
the number plate - not because it's big ugly and makes it look stupid but easy simple fix . ITS should say NSW - "THE FIRST STATE" LOL nah I'm sure you wil lget one of the latter on QLD types of funny plates. It's amazing I'm over number platess I like nothing special but on some cars massive front plates JUST KILL THE LOOK. On others it makes them look not quite right. but on that such a nice looking thing. it's crying from slim line plain look plate. |
