bodykit install questions?
hey guys
after getting my new kit on thursday, (thanks rupe) i just got a quote from the paint shop i wanna use and it was a lot more than i expected! so i was wondering is there any easy things i can do to make it cheaper? the things i need to get done are: install sp20 sideskirts (i thiought it would be easy to do, but it requires drilling of the car body to fit the plugs) modify and fit a front lip. the lip needs to be modified by cutting it down a bit to fit onto my standard bar, and it needs to be shortened to look good on the bar. (if it was just put straight on it would look like a snow ploww! lol) modify and install a rear lip. the rear is from a famillia r wagon and i cant use the bumper it came with so it needs to be modified a little to fit, and a crack also has to be taken out of it. install a roof "lip" spoiler. and there are other things i wanna get done at the same time, like colour coded door handles and a few scratches removed. so is there anywhere i can cut the costs? i dont wanna DIY it if it will potentially create more work for the workshop and cost me more $$$... thank for any help.

if your not really sure what your doing...it will be easier and cheaper in the long run to get them to do it all...1 thing with panel beating and spray painting if its cheap thats normally for a good reason...i myself wouldnt go for a really cheap place unless if i new what type of work they had done...

The sideskirts you could install yourself, as it's just drilling holes and fitting plugs and screws etc.
The rear roof wing should be much the same (assuming the laser and astina have the same roofline). But otherwise i'd leave it up to the professionals
