slight indentations only require one of those paintless dent removal guys...
they use some kind of sucking device to bring the dents but into normal shape.

you dont wanna fill holes mate, unless you fill it by melting metal in to place. dont use bog or any dent fillers cus after a while they peal off..
if you geting a paintjob invest in to a dent puller to end up with a smooth surface

then y do most panel beater fill them if its supposedly so bad? i know that they only peel off or crack if a dodgy job is done to start with. i know how to fill them properly, i am merely looking for a product to use that people may be able to recommend from prior experience.

exactly as burbon said... y do you think a car shop souch as nicks auto exclusive in the valley has the rights from lambourghini, ferrari and porche to fix their cars for insurance purposes? cus there isnt a tin or even a drop of bog in the whole shopp. they massage out, metal fill or if damage is to bad fabricate a new piece. they also replace pieces if they are either fg or cf.

Have u heard of the dry ice method? A quick google reveals the following:

http://www.wisebread.com/remove-car-...ly-and-cheaply

should have other sites with further detail if you google on...

hi guys, thanks for the replies but you have totally missed the point of this thread. I was simply looking for a product to use on some very light hail damage, nothing more.

im not looking for methods of fixing it.

thanks anyhow.

this only works on larger dents, nothing small...

also we havnt really missed the point, im sure any body filler will do...but there will be issues with it later on down the track...thats all were saying...

its not a daily driven car so it wont be exposed to any weather or anything so im pretty sure it would be safe to use filler on dings that are only 1-3mm deep.

i meant u missed the point because i wanted a product not a method....

doesnt matter if the car is a daily or not...if it sits in the garage it will still get hot and still get cold...

any product will work...

i'd say your best bet is to use a polyester glaze for shallow damage, it'll stick better and hopefully not lift and crack. you can get various ones from smash repairers and automotive paint suppliers. "Polyester glazing putty" is the one i've used.

for bigger hail damage, use any professional body filler, but expect to have to strip it back in 6 months time and do it again.

you're better off going with the dent removal, it won't crack, lift or sink and will cost a lot less in the long run
