Lol, all I seem to do is quote between this and the What have you done to your car today? threads.
Pretty much if I was going to do the mod I'd be wanting a bolt in bi-xenon solution that gives really good output out of the box, amongst other reasons... Quote:

Just got a response from Andrew from theretrofitsource.com.
Looks like the RX350 w/ AFS projector looks like a decent fit and the Morimoto ones would be okay too - but there would need to be some mods to fit. While I'm at it - this is what I got up to yesterday arvo... Stab stab. Surprisingly easy to cut through. After cutting it open. After using a small square/circular file to tidy up the edges. It fits! This bugger is the plug for the front indicator/parker, and is a bastard to plug/unplug. It's located behind the parker. Before I took the loom out. Super simple stuff, just splice the new socket in. Make sure you heatshrink everything Ta-da! Your whole indicator lights up now! Last edited by himynameisbunny; 25-09-2012 at 09:37 AM. |

Don't rub it in
Dunno about drain my battery - added another amber bulb into that socket so the whole lens lights up. That's rustled my jimmies since Day 1 that they didn't populate that socket |

Back, going for $150AUD not including shipping and no bids :S I can only imagine it being like $400 landed, plus the need to rewire the front indicators to some 1157 switchbacks with some appropriate LED bulbs. I don't think it will look $400 better I went and got a quote to get all of my bushings, springs + shocks installed yesterday...$600. Ouch. Was about double what I was expecting, but this guy has got an excellent rap from everybody I've asked, and from what I've googled as well. Really nice bloke too. I did realise when I walked in there though that I had been there once before - I got my Charade 22mm sway bars from Selby's Sway Bars who used to share a workshop with him. They're now in Nowra. The JDM ones are on all the time by default (and show amber), from memory - and flash off.

Epic fail. You have a hardtop. LOL. Mine are empty with parkers and indicators in the clear lenses, which I sprayed the inside black, so the look smoked. Also have a. set of genuine fogs if you want to buy them. Message me if you're interested.

I need opinions. I think I'm falling in love with these wheels
Work Nezart Mesh, 15x7 +35. And a little something I did last night to show what they'd look like on the Mazda, with a comparison... I never knew I was that good at Photoshop What do you guys think? It's between these or waiting for a set of MS01S to pop up again Also just got my new sway bar links. Last edited by himynameisbunny; 20-09-2012 at 10:51 AM. |

Here's a template if anybody is interested. The scale and perspective tools in Photoshop are wonderful things. I found that I got a better result by making the new wheel layer more opaque and making the white where the existing rims should be red. Makes it a lot easier to figure out whether or not the wheel is lining up like it should when you're transforming the new wheels. Should also adjust brightness and contrast after they've been fit too, to make sure they look like what they would when they're on the car. |
