Unique BJ Ute

Forgive me if this has been posted before but I dont remember having seen it .

Quote:
The vehicle you see here, owned by John Malozsak, started as a 2002 Mazda Protege 5 wagon. When he purchased it from a local Mazda dealer in Southern California, he already had ideas for it. The concept, as outlandish as it was, was to transform the vehicle into a pickup truck. More about that later.

Jumbuck sits on a tweaked Lancer platfom....

Proton has recently hired a dude by the name of Bob Hall (father of the MX5).... Bob Hall is a lateral thinker...

Bwob as he is known in MX5 circles has confirmed Lancer AWDtrain and Jumbuck is an almost bolt on affair...

the jumbuck actually surprised me with the amount of go it has. Had several hundred kilos in the back of one and it still got moving well enough... Not that I'd buy one tho... much prefer a RWD BAII XR6T.

the jumbuck has very short gears, which allow it to show some grunt

and yes its a satria with a missing back

or is it a persona? oh i can't remember, but proton have been raiding the mitsubishi parts/lancer bin for a while

did no one notice the M21??

yeah, it's a Satria. there's also a yellow (??!!?!) one thats got the full Satria GTi kit floating around down here...

and the M21 was a quicker car than the GTi, but criminally ignored because it looked the same as the lancer
