electric windows

I have a non SP which obviously means no electric windows. If i got the doors from an SP and swapped them over is it just a plug in thing or not? Any help is appreciated

i got some pics of the rail and motor system from the sp. I don't know whether the non-sp still came with the wiring to make it possible. Pull the door trim off and check (the gtx manual on this site has the wire colours specified in the manual )
Should be 2 seperate plugs for the drivers do (one big and one small)

nah its easy! I can give you a quick run through? (this is if you own a SP)

Step 1: Remove the trim, disconnect Window Switch (4 screw's + the light socket clipped in)
Step 2: After that is off, pull back/off the plastic held on by the black sticky stuff
Step 3: Reconnect window switch and put the windows up until the two bolts holding the window appear in the two holes halfway up the door skin.
Step 4: Take the bolts off so the window just sits on the support
Step 5: Put the window all the way up - slap some duck tape or electrical tape on it to hold it to the top of the door
Step 6: Now that is secure - press down on the switch so the support is halfway down...this will help when getting it out.
Step 7: On the right of the door there is a central locking motor....unscrew it so its out of the way (you may need to disconnect it)
Step 8: there is 5 bolts/nuts all up holding the motor (3 down bottom) and rail (2 up top)
Step 9: once that is undone, disconnect the switch and then pull the motor out (its tight but will come out)

It is fiddly, but imo....its easier than fitting a whole door - bolting that up. Not including getting the spacing between the doors right. Then there is running the wires to/from the door through the waterproof rubber..

I have pics of the cables that you need for the drives door switch/power window motor if you want.

I have some good news for you - it seems that the luxury pack 626 has electric windows. I check them out today and to my amazement, they looks EXACTLY like the 323 BG ones! I will let you all know in the coming weeks - I will buy some and try and fit em! (they even have the same bolt pattern etc)

Make sure you double check though! It appears to be the same, there still might be a slight difference!!!!! Don't blame me if they dont fit right - i only said that seem the same

Well honestly though, the motor/actuator was exactly the same build and the railing had the same bend in it.

would be a bit of effort to change it over

you'll need all 4 window regulators with motors

relay loom, switches

for a tidy and standard look the door trims

can be done but there is a fair bit of work involved

Rob
