custom number plate ideas.
so my front number plate was stolen last night, reported it to the police and tomorrow im heading down the rta to replace it. decided to jump on the myplates website to see what would happen and it said this:
Lost or Stolen Number Plates What can I do if my number plates have been lost or stolen? Lost and stolen plates are treated the same because 'lost' plates could actually have been stolen. You should immediately report a lost or stolen plate as a theft to the NSW Police Assistance Line (131 444) and ask for an Event Number. You will then need to attend an RTA Motor Registry and complete the Number Plates (1038) form, Section 5. The law does not permit lost or stolen number plates to be replaced with the same content straight away. Lost and stolen plates are permanently recorded on police records and the use of number plates with content previously reported as lost or stolen can trigger false police alerts. Your local RTA Motor Registry will issue you with General Issue plates for a $39 fee. If you would like to have new personalised plates, you can select new content from the available range. Under certain circumstances the RTA, together with the Police, may consider the reissue of your character content, and the restoration of your previous fee structure, of your lost or stolen plates. A minimum of 6 months must have passed from the plates being reported as lost or stolen before this review. In the meantime no one else can be issued with those plates. You can address this request for reissue together with any supporting documentation to. so now i have 12hours to come up with new numberplates :/ any ideas would be great cause im stumbed. my names jess and nicknames smurf but it has to be in either one of these formats AAA999 AA999 AA9999 AAA99A AA99AA thankheaps

I like the idea of pacman! Why do you have to pay a fee when it was stolen.. Friggen government.

Because the plate remains the property of the government and you "allowed" it to be stolen.
Yeah... It's ridiculous.

je55ss was already taken.
Just got back from the rta, and its gonna cost me over 300 to get the plates replaced if i want custom ones plus still 90bucks a year. Have 2 pay $39 for general plates $220 for the plates to be order which has gone up fron $110. Plus around another $70ish to add it on my rego I said f**k that! And starting abusing the lady. Its ridliousss!!! Other states pay a one off fee of 200-400bucks and thats it, how the **** can you charge people that much you just make the trucking plates then charged them every year for having themm.

Haha SA it's $180 once off for ones that have at least one number and one letter, or $200 a year for custom ones that say whatever you want in almost any colour Or you can be boring like me and just get slim ones for $220 once off.

You can pay 6months.
It's generally $10-20 cheaper to pay yearly however
