So, you were working and earning some money, but quit before a new job was found! There won't be much on seek etc. Hate to say it but alltrades or similar may be the best currently as the workforce is pretty dead. Won't get a job at the mines without 6-12 months exp.

Also your resume is the only way you will get an interview. Is it professionally written? I've had mates pay $2-300 for a professional writeup and got the next job they applied for. The only reason I found work is because I had worked previously for the company.

I wasn't really earning money, was costing me about 750 a fortnight to do the job only to get paid 800

Yes, but now you're earning 0 with expenses still occurring (everything except travel to wor, which if costing 300/week it'd be cheaper to catch a taxi!) So now you're -600 a fortnight vs +50.

Well if you're keen for an apprenticeship, make sure you'll be able to live on less than $300/week. It's pretty terrible lol. It's ok if you do 50+ hr weeks, call. Electrogroup and ask about their prevo course. You might like to do that. Worth sticking with it to finally finish with $40+/hr like me.

Well myself and a few friends are starting to mow lawns for people on Saturday mornings if you want to help the less fortunate. But its out of our pockets and its all for free!
