What's the diff b/w BA V6 & 1.8L?
I know it's a silly question, but what's the difference (externally) between the Factory BA V6 Astina and the Factory BA 1.8L Astina?
Here are the things I can think of so far. V6 has 15" rims, 1.8L has 14" V6 has dual barrel muff muff, 1.8L has single barrel muffler Is the V6 lower? When I pull my 97 1.8L BA besides some of the V6 models at traffic lights, the V6's just look so much better. But aside from the two above items (rims and muffler), I can't seem to figure out why the V6 (externally) looks so much better... hhhmmm.... |

the V6 actually has 16" rims and foglights. i think V6's are maybe 1" lower too. could be wrong there. apart from that i think the V6 came standard with a spoiler on the hatch model whereas it was an option on the 1.8.
the interiors are identicle as far as i can see |

V6's are lower, have 5 stud wheels as opposed to 4
Spolier was standard on v6 hatch, still optional on V6 Hardtop V6 has bigger brakes nothing else externally visible, really

1.8 came with 14" rims standard and 15" as an option, which I have on my BA

If you put a CAI on both you will notice a BIG difference (Damn the v sounds meaty at WOT) it always puts a smile on my face
Its nice to look at the 1.8s and say "My engine is 1 standard drink bigger than yours" (pathetic but I got nuthin left) |
