Installing Hardtop Fog Lights

Hi Guys,

Just taken delivery of a pair of HT fog lights and I am having some difficulty trying to work out the alignment for installation.

The attached photo show the right hand light, but in this orientation the three mounting points don't match the three point on my bumper where the blank mounts. To get them to match I would need to rotate the light 90 degrees counter clockwise which then puts the actual lens the wrong orientation according the the wording on the glass. The left hand one is the same except it would need to be rotated 90 degrees clockwise to match the mounting points.

Any suggestions, solutions or piccys of another HT showing how their Foggies are mounted.

Cheers

where they mazda OEM foggies cause the 1.8 didn't have them standard, so could be a later addtion.

i think they are eliptical not circular like the one in the photo, Ill go check,

what they set you back?
one of mine has a broken mount and the other one doesn't light up.

Skip,

They are second hand OEM foggies for the Astina. While the 1.8 never had them as standard they still have all the wiring loom etc for them. The ones I have are slightly eliptical, just the angle of the camera and the angle of the glass makes it look round.

The pair of lights cost me $330.00 Auswallabies imported from NZ.

Thanks Cosmo,

According to the piccy I am missing a part I think. When you remove the blank you need to attach a bracket that the fog light then mounts to.

BUGGER!!!!!!

Cheers Chris

Bracket should be the bar support. Grab your digi camera and have a poke 'round for the (A) bolt. You're gonna have to remove the front bar to instal the lights. The lower support is the inside screw that holds the blanking plate (it'll be clear when you do it).

Nah, not the Hardtop ones. Solly!

I reckon just make some out of some thin metal - it's a really simple shape. I'll take some closeup pics of them

Thanks Dan!

I will still send an email to NZ to see what they say. After all you don't ask you don't get, and I definitley asked for lights and brackets in my original email.

Thanks again Dan,

Very much appreciated, also I will be installing the Short Shifter this week. So I'll let you know how it goes.

Good News,

Sent an email to Mazline Spare Parts in NZ asking if they had the brackets like I had originally asked for. Today I recieved an email stating that they have located the brackets (they weren't attached to the lights) and are shipping them to me at gratis. Must say it's nice to get some decent customer service.
