ITS A CAPACITOR. cheap escs dont have them but ought to. personally one that big is overkill but was another reason why i chose that particular system. basically it fills in where the batteries drop off on acelleration and absorbs VERY QUICKLY the potentially deadly (to the esc!) ripple current caused by regenerative braking. nice to see its all up and running. excellent work on the soldering and heatshrinking job

charging up my batteries and all ready to rock tomorrow at arana hills (phdr) - come say hi if you are up the northside!

Well i found out why my car wasent free wheeling very well (ryan said this wasent normal) somebody who had owned it before had locked both diffs with a sticky past type stuff. anyway i spent about an Hr unlocking both diffs and cleaning all the metal gears and replacing all the plastic ones. (even if they didnt realy need it, i bought a pack of replacement gears)

I also changed the breaking on the program card and lowered the initail accelaration. (was on the higest setting)

Will have a play with it outside tommrow and adjust what needs it.

well after a bit a haggeling and a impuse buy, i walked out of vouglers and son hobby shop in ipswitch with this.

Then after about 5 minutes running the stock electrics i decied it needed a change.
So i put in my esc, lips, 2.4Ghz reciver and 8.5T bushless. (just for that little more fun)
Goes realy well now just spent about 20 minutes absolutly trashing it out front.
Cant wait for tommrow to take it around some dryer dirt sites.

Is this in the TB EVO? Did you have the blue anodised diff? Cause I don't think aluminium is very good for diffs if you can source a nylon or real metal parts.

Tb evo III,
i use the nylon re-enforced diff, and just getting a tbo2 diff for now (standard evo aswell) rather then another re-enforced diff. (may get another one, but its twice the price and im not working atm, or running crazy power to need it)

Hey guys, I'm selling my black/silver HPI Blitz if anyone is keen. I have a spare brand new black/orange shell for it, and I can offer it with a 9T 4300kV EZRUN 35A brushless system if you want to pay more. It's stock on original tyres with heaps of tread, but the rear diff runs thicker oil to give it a bit more LSD action and prevent leaking. PM me if interested.

Update: Gonna convert the TL-01LA drifter to a TL-01RA. Well, it will be able to swap out quickly for drift, onroad or offroad at the drop of a hat, but I'm over drifting really. The TL-01B will become a Baja Champ buggy again and might just live on the shelf looking good after that? The clutch on the baby Hornet never came good, so it might go back on the shelf too?
