Defected because it is carbon fibre wrapped fibreglass....

2 highly defectable materials to make body parts out of

Forgot hot4s, and i'll put it on ebay tonight. Boost was pointless within 30 seconds it goes back 5 pages. Ive got it on all the Mazda related sites. About to sticker it up and park it out the front of work and stuff

12K! What a load of F&%K'n CRAP. You will get way more than that, i'd be surprised if you dont get the 17K for it privately within a few days.
If you trade it in for 12K (which i would hope you wouldnt end up doing) they will whack a huge figure on it, greater than your 17K, and try to sell it as a show car.

Yeah its stupid, they claim to you it would be hard to sell coz its modified and stuff then they go and put some crazy figure on it.

Ive got a mate doing up some stickers for me, and i work on a main road and next door to a import yard so with a bit of luck ill get some interest from that.

Worst case scenario i'll sell it to the import yard next door and push as hard as possible to get 16k to sell to them

Just to clarify that, there's nothing wrong with some CF/fibreglass bodyparts - it's just that a bonnet needs to be able to crumple in an accident - whereas fibreglass and CF would just shatter sending bits everywhere and potentially decapitating someone, apparently.

If you get cleaned up hard enough to shatter the bonnet, you'll be in a spot of bother anyways

Getting CF complied would be almost impossible, so for all intents and purposes its naughty.

as for decapitation....i believe FG turns to dust in a high impact accident...FG dust = toxic....plus if you run into anyone they'll end up being burnt on your engine bay (least of their worries i'd think).

CF will stay rigid and send shrapnel, but i do doubt the "CF bonnet through the window chopping everyone's heads off" myth... I havn't found any reports of this actually happening (if someone has a report of this happening let me know..i'd like to read it)....and windscreen glass is pretty damned strong... also, the angle of the window would deflect the bonnet upwards.....

But thats all besides the point... for all intents and purposes you can't have it *legally*..but it wont stop people from doing it :P

Thats right, when modding cars (especially show cars) you tend to not care about defects, and if you do then you wont get far in the game

WTF.... why when someone goes and mods a car to this standard noone recognises it as 'something special'?
I hope you at least told them where to go.
