paint?

hey guys,
anyone got any ideas on what would look good on my car? im getting a new front bar in about 6 weeks, and then once thats installed im getting the whole cars paint redone. (as well as a lot of other things!)
im thinking either a black pearl over it, or maybe a white pearl over it...
i cant decide...
thn there was my old idea or a 2tone respray...
or maybe just getting it done black?
any one have any good ideas?
thanks.

It is a very tough decision to make, although its really up to you what colour you want to paint it, because we can suggest anything but i may not be to your taste. maybe have alook at your favourite cars and what colours they are. maybe have a flick through Hot4's etc and see what you like. I have seen that your a member of another well known forum that has alot of showcars etc, maybe have a look through their cars and see if anything there grabs your attention.

Just go with your gut feeling because ultimately its your decision and u have to drive the car after its all done.

Black? Didn't they come black from the factory?
Anyway what -dc- said. Most show cars have a 'come look at me' paint scheme which needs to be bold.

Take into consideration your interior, which is mostly dark blue Leather, so I'd be be looking at dark blues, white or even silver/greys...

I reckon a light silver & darker grey would look good as a 2 tone...

i still need to talk to the painter too see what he thinks woul work. but i might just do straight one colour with a pearl.. as i dont want it too standout too much and get dated, you know? like i think if i 2 toned it in a year or so it would look outdated and there would be a new theme going around... so if i go 1 colour it wil still be cool in a few years...

no nothing wrong with standing out from that crowd at all, i think it is great to be abit different to everyone else, but I just meant that some colours can make a nice car look cheap.

I've always been a fan of the dark purple metallic. Rather than two how about just doing a section, say diagonal across the back in a vibrant colour to make the purple stand out, in say, blue or something. Must have pearl all over otherwise it sort of looks dull.

Or alternatively, the other good luck is the brown/orange paint that changes colour in the sun. Also comes in purple/green. HOT!

flip colours are way to expensive, and come in many different ones, but the puple/green one is the most popular one as you get the most notice with it.

i mean personaly if i had the money i would either get my white resprayed with gold pearl over the top or get a full flat black with gloss orange highlights

Matte colours are always nice with a pearl. Gold pearl I find is one of the most effective. I'd love to see some colour Photoshop ideas.. I'd do some for you if I knew how to or even had Photoshop lol.

we painted a civic today black and after it had been baked we left it on the driveway for about 30minuets and u can alreaddy see the dust starting to settel on it.
electric blue with a white pear looks good, did that to a XR6 not long ago.
Look real good actully.
