So I've been enjoying this sucker way too much. Done 3700kms since I bought it like 3 weeks ago... Put a set of Yokohama AD08r on Thursday. Absolutely rubbish...for the first 500kms. After that, they're mental. Its as is the limit is how fast your reaction time is. Comfortable doing 60-70 through the split corners up nebo and 50+ round the hairpins from fernvale side of glorious.

Seems to use a bit of oil but I have done a fair few kms. No mods to report. ARC chamber I got is too big to ship from Canada cheap so he's looking for a more locan example to get me. Set of cams still haven't arrived. Will hopefully get them in before next weekend's coffee and circuit.

One day! I'd prefer to bring the astina! Anyways yesterday I fitted some unknown specced cams which livened up the bottom end which makes it feel like a 1.8 which is good. Either the ecu or timing advance is not ideal anymore. Ill get a new set of plugs tomorrow but under heavy load it seems to bog down sort of like a missfire or something. I fitted new roll bar foam and some nice flexible wiper blades.

Also I'm am really unobservant because my motor IS a long nose. Apparently Malibu Gold cars got the newer motor.

Nah not yet. I'm deciding what tyres to run on them. Might get some proper track tyres of I begin doing sprints. I'll see how these tyres I've got go though. I want to strip them and paint them a different colour, as everyone has yello black - maybe silver or white

Ok this thing is significantly faster than the astina in a straight line. Managed to get to 160 on the back straight at qr today. Didn't get the chance to get any heat into the tyres unfortunately so the jury is still out on them. Loads of fun. Next month I'll see if it can be even faster ... without spending money.

Fwiw I could never keep up with an FT86. Today I could just edge away. Oh so close. Satisfying feeling

Sounds pretty throaty. Slightly smoother power down low. Couldn't say if it's more powerful or just noisier. Either way it looks cool!

Next is the exhaust which Dan needs to post before next week so I can take it to the track in 2 weeks.

I'm about to move places. Moving a far with no wheels or complete breaks is hard. So MASSIVE clearing out will be happening in the next 4 weeks. Most will be free or swaps for favours/goodwill. But this will get finished once in a new shed on the northside.

So I changed the clutch last night ready for circuit and coffee. Finished at 12am. Had an awesome run and got to take my dad out which was fun! 10lb flywheel and npc hd clutch. Drives way easier than all reports online. Haven't stalled it yet and revs really nice.

I was just pondering whether you'd been busy on the ba beast.
Hows the move going?

Secured a place on Friday. Probably move random pieces on a trailer then bleed brakes on the shell and move it in a few weeks. Probably after the wedding at this rate.
