Need help guys. Searched the net and this seemed the most comprehensive discussion about it. Maybe its simple and I can't do it. But I need to know the trick for removing the entire aerial. I've undone the retainer nut, undid the screws in the actual antenna, that didn't lead me anywhere. It's as though the bottom comes off somehow and the mast OS fed through the top, buggered if I can get it out. Sure I can destroy it but I need at least one in working order!

Are these any help to you? They show the innards of the antenna assembly

Perfect. Thought it might unscrew but it didn't seem to do anything. But its off now. Not sure how to prevent scratching the good one though!
A few jewelers screwdrivers did the trick. All swapped now!

Pulled one out of the ol' hardtop today. Took about 2 minutes although I did cut the wires to make it easy
Now to put it into the hatch

Off my second car Mike haha. Which is fast turning into a wreck. No drivers side window motor, mirror or controller for the windows. No antenna, and missing some trim!
