Wide angle oval outdoor LED's. Simply soldered them and a resister into the standard globe holder. I may be able to get more of these LED's, price and availability TBA.

hey guys, just chuck a blue condom over the existing bulb. The green bulb is just a normal bulb with a green condom!

SO yeah, if you just go putting blue condoms on, it will look crap. (yes I've been there tried it) Mazdamanic - your question has also been answered in you other thread. Xedos - You can search the net for variations of them, otherwise you can contact me and I can organise to get you some supplied with resistors for $2 each. I can get Blue, Red, Green and White. In the BG dash, I added an extra led inside the dash for better light coverage.

Ebay is the best place to get them i tried dicksmiths and tandy and a few electronic stores but found nothing suitable, you might have more luck!
What i done was replace the origional bulbs with LED wedge bulbs, (this is the cheapest and best place ive found and i had no problems with the seller Blue LEDs from Ebay) I found that the LEDs wernt emmiting enough light and the angle wasnt wide enough so i got some wire that was a decent thickness so that when it was bent it would hold shape, i pushed one end of the wires between the metal and plastic on the (green) bulb holders so that when the LEDs are inserted to the original positions the wires are held in securely, i then soldered the other ends of the wires to the additional LEDs, testing the polarity because it makes a difference with some LEDs... i then bent the wires into place so that the LEDs shone in the appropriate areas... I also sprayed the entire area surrounding the LEDs in chrome to maximise brightness... im not sure how much this helped but i wanted to get it right the first time and ive had great results http://www.astinagt.com/forums/vbga...getimage&id=567 |

well it's a green light coming out so i guess its green, still haven's gotten under the dash to get out the instrument cluster yet, hopefully this weekend. Looking to go the blue light option to. PLenty of places on E-Bay that are selling the LED type of light.

My dials did have a green plastic coating on the back, but some fine sandpaper quickly removed it...
